Using EFT to tame the fear – the economy and the Law of Attraction

What’s happening in the world today?  Our (U.S.) government is going into the private sector to bail out (and become primary equity shareholders of) a major insurance company and now we’re looking at allowing the banking system a “free pass” while our friends are losing their homes.

Our President and presidential candidates are screaming recession bordering on a depression and the mainstream media at large?  Well, don’t even get me started on that one…

Yesterday, I thought about calling the White House to see if I could get an appointment with “Dubya” to do some work on the Law of Attraction!  What is he thinking?

Something is seriously wrong here…and I don’t think is started with us (the general citizens).  However, if we continue to allow ourselves to be fed information by a fear-generating machine, we can only create more of the same.  Such is the nature of the Law of Attraction.  Don’t get me wrong here, I’m certainly not saying that there are not REAL factors occurring in the world now that are contributing to this big financial mess we seem to be in, however, instead of focusing on the problem, what if we focused on the solution.

The Law of Attraction clearly says that whatever we choose to focus our attention upon grows.  We know it’s true.  Therefore, by focusing on a problem, we create…what?  You got it, more problems, bigger problems.  By focusing on the fear, we create more fear.

Today, as I traveled through my day, I couldn’t help but notice the “walking zombie” look that so many people had.  Our society is rapidly becoming shell-shocked by this constant barrage of bad news. I started to really tune into the energy of these people who had seemingly lost the core of their humanity and I could feel that they are scared…fear was the dominate emotion in their lives right now.  I wonder how it might be different if our government and the media began talking about plans for recovery, rather than our inevitable economic crash.  What do you think?

I recently listened again, for about the 27th time, to the Nightingale-Conant audio program called “The Science of Personal Achievement” which largely features Napoleon Hill, the author if the classic bible on personal development called Think and Grow Rich.  In the program, Dr. Hill tells the story of the MasterMind group he was involved with around the time of the Great Depression when he and many of the key figures in government, industrialists and newspaper owners banded together for the single-minded purpose of restoring America’s faith.  The two houses of Congress rallied behind President Roosevelt; the key newspapers agreed to run only the most positive economic news and corporations nationwide jumped on the bandwagon to support the President and the government in creating solutions to the worst economic catastrophe in American history…

…but if you listen to our media and government, it’s no wonder that people are beginning to wonder if in fact we are about to live through the worst economic catastrophe in history.

I have a proposal…and please chime in on this to let me know your thoughts:

1.  We all choose to focus on the positive — always — and do everything in our power to repel the fear and negativity as it arises;

2.  We take the time to learn what’s REALLY going on in the world that creates the constant ebbs and flows in economic and social conditions…we might actually find in our research that there are specific parties pulling the puppets strings, and perhaps this has been going on for centuries;

3.  We allow our voices to be heard through Social Media, blogging and connecting to like-minded individuals;

4.  We let our government know that THEY WORK FOR US, not the other way around!

YOU HAVE THE POWER!  Use it…shout out…speak your passion…let your opinion be heard.  It is our silence and apathy as citizens of this country and of the world that has allowed the “powers that be” to run rampant…

But they can’t stop us…they can’t stop the internet…they cannot touch that spark of freedom, individuality and passion that runs deep in each of us.  So, what do you say?  Let’s be heard together!

My friend David Childerley has just posted a video helps to gain some clarity on these issues, while providing both Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and his new strategy called The Balance Technique to release any fear or anxiety about all these perceived craziness.  His commentary on the world his brilliant — but brace yourself if this is new information for you, because you might find it a bit shocking…

…But the tools he provides are very effective.

I would like to encourage you to do something…RIGHT NOW…contribute in whatever way you feel to a SOLUTION and encourage everyone around you…everyone you know to do the same.  Together we can stand against fear, economic crisis, controlled media and an oppressive government that has lost touch with its people.

And take a look at Dave’s video…I can virtually guarantee you some relief in the next 30 minutes.

Using EFT for clearing clutter, unblocking the Law of Attraction

One of the most widely accepted methods for quick release of emotionally-based issues (which can and do move into physically-based issues) is Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT.

I am a strong proponent of EFT and use it regularly with my coaching clients.  Many of my clients have discussed with me how they feel out of balance at times (perfectly normal) and particularly so when they get behind in basic tasks of “uncluttering” of their lives.  Whether that is the clutter created by not attending to the bills, the mail, the dishes in the kitchen, or by not attending to the “clutter and chaos” that sometimes takes over our mental state, clutter can slow down the process of creating the like you really want.

In my work with the Law of Attraction, one of the patterns I’ve noticed in people is that their attraction effectiveness has a direct correlation with their focus and attention.

Recently, I have written on the concept of “everything is energy and nothing is neutral.“  If you are surrounding yourself with clutter, not only does your energy get scattered, but also your attention is constantly drifting toward that clutter, or thoughts that you should be doing something about it. So, clutter  is quite distracting your focus and likely weakening you in the process.

The clutter in your life could be unfinished business that keep your thoughts distracted or a conversation you want to have that you have avoided, or just a stack of empty boxes in your garage.  This past weekend, that stack of empty boxes inspired me to think about the clutter in my own life.  So, I cleared them out.  Funny thing…it only took about an hour to clear the space and sweep my garage but the result was an amazing shift in the energy of the space and my energy.  Remember, everything is energy and NOTHING is neutral.

Then yesterday, less than 24 hours after clearing out the garage, I got Gary Craig’s (the creator of EFT) weekly newsletter and noticed an article on clearing out clutter and chaos in your life.  My favorite part of the Law of Attraction system that I’ve developed is Step 6, called “Pay Attention and Follow the Trail.”  I always find that when I’m “onto something” I get constant reminders and reinforcement of the message.  That article was another reminder…and something tells me that I need to share it with my readers here, because you may find benefit from it as well.

The article, by Lindsay Kenny is called “Clearing clutter for clarity and confidence.”  Ms. Kenny talks about how to clear even the most extreme cases and it is a fascinating read.

EFT Tapping for attracting a great day…start today!

I just came across a video from a colleague who is one of the consummate authorities on Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). I’ve done a lot of study and work with EFT and there has always been a focus on bringing up negative emotional events in order to release them but in this unique video, Brad Yates brings a new perspective on using EFT to install a positive message and start your day in the mode to attract what you really want.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) – Try it on everything…

How do we overcome whatever may be blocking us from receiving? “Receiving what, Jeff?” you may be asking. Anything! One thing I’ve found in working with coaching clients is that whatever they are choosing in their lives that they don’t already have is usually being slowed down by some kind of fear, block or resistance and it’s almost always on a subconscious level.

We came into this life with only two fears:

1. The fear of loud noises; and

2. The fear of falling.

Everything else we adopted along the way. Fear of public speaking; fear of failure; fear of rejection; fear of heights…literally everything else blocking us was learned by some experience or series of experiences. Well, if your mind can learn something like that through simply having one or more traumatic experiences around it, why can’t we also “unlearn” or quickly release that issue? We can, of course.

There are a number of very effective methods for releasing fear, or overcoming obstacles keeping us from anything we want to do, be or have. One of the techniques I like best is called Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT.

I use EFT in my coaching practice all the time and have clients creating personal breakthroughs at an astounding rate. It’s a simple practice and takes only a few minutes to get the basics down.

Recently, I connected with Nick Ortner, the producer of a new documentary film about EFT called Try It On Everything

Nick has made a fabulous film that not only trains you in the use of EFT but also provides excellent documentation on how the process can be used on virtually everything, thus the title of the film. I have found the same thing to be true in my work with coaching clients. We’ve used the process for overcoming fear of public speaking (along with some specialty sound and music processes I created), for extreme anxiety, weight loss, mental blocks toward success, procrastination, back pain, migraine headaches…and the list really goes on and on.

Releasing those pesky internal blocks to your success…

Throughout our entire lives, we have been accumulating information and experiences. From the moment we saw the first light of day, and perhaps even before, messages and programming have been installed into our conscious and subconscious minds.

Some of this programming serves us well. For example, we learned not to touch the stove, sometimes by trying it first and burning our hands. Most of us learn those types of lessons quickly and easily and those experiences stay with us and protect us from harm.

Other deep messages, past experiences and internal programming create stumbling blocks and obstacles that don’t allow us to move forward in our lives, or at least not as quickly as we would like. We repeat old patterns and continue to have the same experiences over and over, even when we don’t enjoy the experience; even when it causes us pain.

In deeply examining the elements that keep people from attracting what they really want into their lives, whether that is prosperity, the perfect romantic relationship, or some other experience, I have found two things to be primary root causes.

The first is the inability to be clear about what we really want. Getting clear and vividly detailed about what you intend to attract is a primary element to success with the Law of Attraction.

The second key area that seems to be lacking in most people is defining and releasing internal blocks and programs that keep us from attracting what we truly want. Running old patterns and doing things in the same old way is a formula for getting the same old thing.

As Albert Einstein so cleverly shared with us:

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

Unfortunately, it’s not always as clear and simple as just consciously stopping this wheel of insanity. Many of these “same things” that we do over and over again are Pavlovian patterns that we just perform like trained circus animals without even being conscious or aware of them.

We easily can begin developing our awareness processes and learn some powerful tools to quickly release any blocks that we may be carrying that keep us from successfully attracting our desires.

To help you get clear about what your blocks to success may be, try the following simple exercise.

1. Make a list of positive statements about things you really want to have in your life and put that list in the form of an “I AM” statement as if it were already true. For example, if you want to have a great romantic relationship, write something like:

“I am in the perfect relationship for me.” If you desire more money in your life, write down a statement such as: “I am wealthy and my life is abundant.”

2. Now read each statement out loud.

3. After each statement, pay close attention to what “comes up” for you. Be aware of that inner voice you hear or any feelings that come up around your statements, especially the little “devil-on-your-shoulder” voice telling you that “you can’t” or “you shouldn’t” or “you aren’t good enough.” These are you best clues for what may be blocking you.

4. Jot down on a piece of paper anything that comes to your awareness after reciting each “I AM” statement.

This awareness will allow you to begin to pinpoint the challenges that may be keeping you from what you want to attract into your life. The next step is to practice a release technique to get rid of all that junk that’s blocking your path.

There are several methods that I recommend, but I have had some huge breakthroughs lately, both personally and with my coaching clients using the Emotional Freedom Technique, widely known as “EFT.” EFT is a method of tapping on certain acupuncture points while stating phrases about your blocks.

In this short article, I can’t go into detail about how to do that, but there are numerous places you can find valuable information and instruction about how to use EFT. Try doing a search on YouTube for EFT (or EFT and whatever block you’re trying to release) and I guarantee you will find a wealth of video demonstrations that will help you.
