Using EFT for clearing clutter, unblocking the Law of Attraction

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

One of the most widely accepted methods for quick release of emotionally-based issues (which can and do move into physically-based issues) is Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT.

I am a strong proponent of EFT and use it regularly with my coaching clients.  Many of my clients have discussed with me how they feel out of balance at times (perfectly normal) and particularly so when they get behind in basic tasks of “uncluttering” of their lives.  Whether that is the clutter created by not attending to the bills, the mail, the dishes in the kitchen, or by not attending to the “clutter and chaos” that sometimes takes over our mental state, clutter can slow down the process of creating the like you really want.

In my work with the Law of Attraction, one of the patterns I’ve noticed in people is that their attraction effectiveness has a direct correlation with their focus and attention.

Recently, I have written on the concept of “everything is energy and nothing is neutral.“  If you are surrounding yourself with clutter, not only does your energy get scattered, but also your attention is constantly drifting toward that clutter, or thoughts that you should be doing something about it. So, clutter  is quite distracting your focus and likely weakening you in the process.

The clutter in your life could be unfinished business that keep your thoughts distracted or a conversation you want to have that you have avoided, or just a stack of empty boxes in your garage.  This past weekend, that stack of empty boxes inspired me to think about the clutter in my own life.  So, I cleared them out.  Funny thing…it only took about an hour to clear the space and sweep my garage but the result was an amazing shift in the energy of the space and my energy.  Remember, everything is energy and NOTHING is neutral.

Then yesterday, less than 24 hours after clearing out the garage, I got Gary Craig’s (the creator of EFT) weekly newsletter and noticed an article on clearing out clutter and chaos in your life.  My favorite part of the Law of Attraction system that I’ve developed is Step 6, called “Pay Attention and Follow the Trail.”  I always find that when I’m “onto something” I get constant reminders and reinforcement of the message.  That article was another reminder…and something tells me that I need to share it with my readers here, because you may find benefit from it as well.

The article, by Lindsay Kenny is called “Clearing clutter for clarity and confidence.”  Ms. Kenny talks about how to clear even the most extreme cases and it is a fascinating read.

Let me know what you think…how is clutter affecting your life?

Law of Attraction or law of abstraction? Which are you using?

Monday, September 1st, 2008

The Law of Attraction is working in your life already.  Whether you choose to use it consciously or whether you are “driving all over the road” with random thoughts, feelings and actions, the fact remains that the LOA is always at work in your life.

Are you using a conscious, focused system for the Law of Attraction in your life?  Or are you using what I call the “law of abstraction”?

The “law of abstraction” is what the majority of the planet uses…innocently I’m sure…but nonetheless, it is the process of simply going about every minute of every hour of every day without any focused intention, focused thought or focused emotion.

The Law of Attraction responds to you, constantly.  If you are consistently using negative language or negative feelings associated with your life, this is what you tend to bring toward you.  For instance, if you use language, even in your own mind, that paints a picture of what you DON’T want, you tend to draw more of what you don’t want into your current life.  It’s a natural habit that many people have, simply because they have been brought up with that negative programming.

For example, money is a big issue for most people.  Virtually everyone wants more of it but at the same time they define that mental picture as “not being broke” or “never having enough and wanting more.”  If you have been using this kind of “self-talk” it’s time to shift your focus to the positive.  Instead of entertaining thoughts or feelings of “I never seem to have enough money,” instead you could shift that to “I AM always in the flow of money and prosperity” or “Money flows to me easily and effortlessly.”

It is important for you to have a clear picture of what you intend to attract.  Avoid using terms like “want” and “need” as this creates an energy of the thing you intend being “away” from you already.  In order for you to have a “wanting,” there always has to be something that corresponds with that thought to keep you in a wanting state.  Think about it:  If you are “wanting,” is it possible to be “having” at the same time?

Keeping your intentions in the present tense is vital as well.  Imagine, or visualize, or “feel” your intended outcome in your present, now, in this moment.  The Universe knows nothing of time.  This was a construct of humans.

Being clear about your intention is important but you can always leave things open to “universal interpretation.”  Remember that a “divine design” is always in the works.  Your intention might actually be smaller than what is actually possible for you.  So, as you create your intentions, consider adding thoughts of “this or something better” to your intended outcomes.  That leaves greater possibilities than you have even imagined available to you through this universal process we call the Law of Attraction.

Always remember that if you don’t have what you want already, and you’ve been focusing on that, in a positive way, there may be some internal message blocking you from actually attracting what you intend.  Removing the blocks or at least reducing the charge on those blocks is an important element to using the Law of Attraction effectively.

If you have been having challenges in making your true intentions come to you as fast as you want, I would encourage you to take a look at our Seven Days to Success Law of Attraction ACTION PACK multimedia program to assist you in getting clarity, releasing blocks, connecting with the true energy behing the Law of Attraction and more.  The system is overflowing with information and tools to immediately put the Law of Attraction into ACTION in your life.  It was specifically designed for you to learn a detailed and specific system and provide you with everything you need to break through barriers, turbo-charge your process and create success in all areas of your life using the Law of Attraction.  We can even provide you with one-on-one coaching to help you implement that strategies and tools available to you.  Many people report that this coaching is what brought true clarity to the process and was the key to success.

Please share some of your LOA stories here and let us know your own insights about what works (and what doesn’t) when it comes to attracting the life you really choose.

Above all, have fun and be grateful for what you are attracting and have attracted into your life.  It’s all good, if you look at it from the right frame of reference.

Quotes from industry leaders about coaching…

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

Life is challenging enough without having to create and achieve your goals all on your own.  The truth is that very few people, if any, can actually do that.

Throughout history, the most successful people of all time have surrounded themselves with teams of people who support their vision and mission.

What is your vision and mission?  Are you clear?  Are you focused?  Are you on your way and doing great? Are you passionate about your life and what you’re doing with it?

Who is on your team?  Are you a typical entrepreneur trying to juggle all the balls at once?  Are you an entrepreneur who simply “owns” your job?  Are you feeling like a hamster running on a wheel?

In order to create anything great and substantial, it is vital for us to create a team and most small business people find a lot of ways to stay “busy” all the time and try to do everything on our own.

A business and/or life coach can help you to bring clarity to your goals, then keep you on the path toward reaching them.  Everyone needs a great coach to keep them on track!  I’m a coach and I use coaches and mentors to assist me all the time.  Why?  Because I KNOW that I can’t do it all on my own.  I know where my skills are effective and where they are lacking.  I know that I can’t create my big dream without a team.

Some of the greatest business minds of all time have chimed in on the subject of coaching.  The media is talking about coaching.  The concept isn’t going away.

Here are a few quotes that I’ve gathered up for you on the subject of coaching.

“Coaching can certainly help you strengthen your sense of self-worth, focus on your goals — and get there, fast.” – The London Daily Telegraph

“I absolutely believe that people, unless coached, never reach their maximum potential.” – Bob Nardelli CEO, Home Depot

“…a personal coach is better than a best friend.” – Sausalito.net

“Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximize their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them.” – Timothy Gallwey

“People who are coaches will be the norm. Other people won’t get promoted.” – Jack Welch, CEO, General Electric

“A coach maybe the guardian angel you need to rev up your career.” – Money

“Part therapist, part consultant, part motivational expert, part professional organizer, part friend, part nag — the personal coach seeks to do for your life what a personal trainer does for your body.” – Kim Palmer, Minneapolis-St. Paul Star-Tribune

“Coaching simply speeds up a process of change that would most likely occur anyway if an individual had enough time. Without a coaching program that forces a client to focus and make time, people sometimes miss the real issues they need to focus on.” – The Ivy Business Journal, September-October 2000

“No matter how strong a person mentally is, without proper mental nourishment he or she will crumble. Personal coaching is one of the best ways to help you get that nourishment and to keep you stay focused.” – BeingLive.com

“If you want to build your business and at the same time have a rewarding personal life, you call a coach.” – Robert Schwab, ‘Businesses Hire Coaches to Build Winning Teams,’ Denver Post

“When all is said and done, teaching is what I try to do for a living.” – Jack Welch, CEO, General Electric from ‘Jack: Straight from the Gut’

“The hottest thing in management is the executive coach…Coaches are everywhere these days…Corporate coaches are in such demand that they can charge from $600 to $2,000 a month for three or four 30- to 60-minute phone conversations.” — Fortune

“Our chief want in life is someone who will make us do what we can.” – Emerson

“To get the most out of yourself you need to tune yourself regularly, just like a musical instrument needs regular tuning. Personal coaching is one of the best ways to help you improve yourself and stay focused.” – BeingLive.com

“A coach can play any number of roles –mentor, consultant, motivator, but one thing she [or he] is not is a therapist. Coaching deals with the “how”: how you can move on from where you are and make change. It’s action-oriented, and concerned with the present and future, not the past.” – Shape Magazine

Why I REALLY do free coaching…

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Someone contacted me the other day about the free coaching sessions that I offer and responded in a really “interesting” way.  I don’t often get these kinds of responses anymore because of how I work with the Law of Attraction but every now and again I get a mild “heckler.”  So, the guy writes to me:  “You know the only reason you do these free sessions is to get people to buy your coaching!” Maybe he was having a bad day but…

Wow!  I had to stop and think long and hard about that one.  Why would someone approach me like that?  I’m looking at this as a gift that I give to people and he’s challenging my integrity.  And course, there was a part of me wanting to say:  “Uh, duh! (I mean, of course, there is a marketing strategy involved…)” but that really doesn’t begin to tell the reason why I REALLY do free coaching sessions.

Money is just an exchange of value and energy and I have yet to work with a client who didn’t tell me that I brought WAY more value to them than the money they were paying for my services.  So, I decided to really put some thought into how to respond to this gentleman.

Think about this for a minute.  When someone offers you a free trial, what is the purpose?  It is to prove to you that what you are trying is worth buying in the first place, right?

This happens every day in the marketing world and no one thinks twice about it.  You see it in the grocery store when someone offers you a taste of a new food product.  If you like it, you buy it.  You see it in internet marketing a lot these days with $1 trials and free this and that to lead you to EXPERIENCE what is being offered, thereby being able to make a better buying decision.  It helps you to get to know the product, or the service, or in my case, the PERSON.  Let’s be realistic, you’re not going to sign up to pay for for coaching services without even knowing the slightest bit about me or just from reading my web page, are you?

So, let’s break this down a bit:

Of course, I don’t provide my coaching services just for the money.  There is a lot easier work you can do if you’re just about money.  I do coaching and mentoring, first and foremost, because I love it.  One of my favorite experiences is that of seeing one of my clients rise to a new level in his or her life, or discover a greatness that they didn’t previously acknowledge, or helping someone make more money and see their lives changes as a result.

Everyone has at least one unique skill set.  One of the highest and best uses of my unique skill set in the world is to help people break through barriers, structure their business to bring them freedom, get clear on how to move forward, solve challenges and provide a plethora of different ways someone can create more time, money and personal freedom in the process…just to name a few things that I do in life and business coaching.  Virtually everyone I work with believes that brings great value to their lives, whether or not they end up paying for my services in the long run.

For example, check out what one of my clients (an actress) had to say recently:

There are more examples like this on my coaching page, if you want to take a look.

Rarely do I work with a client that hasn’t created a new way to pay for my services and much, much more in the first 90 days. As a business coach, if I don’t bring actual bottom line monetary, dollars and cents (and sense) value to your life, what’s the point of paying me, right?

Going back to how this all lays out from the “you’re only doing this to get people to pay you!” comment made by our skeptical friend earlier in this story…let’s take a look at how “free” looks from my perspective…

In my Platinum Coaching and Mentoring Program, people pay $777 per month, although most people just go ahead and pay $1497 for three months of coaching because it’s like getting a whole month for FREE.  That’s about three hours a month, plus a bunch of other perks including recording every single session and maintaining a web page for each of my clients so they can have those recordings and other bonuses available 24/7.  Again, it’s all about bringing great service and value.  So that basically comes down to my hourly rate falls in the $175-250 range.

So, addressing our skeptical friend’s concerns, these complimentary sessions, that I call Discovery Sessions, are not some scaled-down version of a coaching session where I’m holding back the “good stuff” and offer no real value.  It’s the real deal.

Just like any other session, we spend time examining your life and situation, your business, your strategies and where you might make things more effective.  We usually spend 45-60 minutes on these calls.  That breaks down to about $250 of my time…that I give you, as a gift for FREE.

The design is to determine whether I can provide a greater value to you, to see if we are a good fit in working together for some period of time after the initial session.  My intention is to put you in a position that you have powerful new ideas and tools to work with from DAY ONE (Day One – The Free Discovery Session).

I don’t work with everyone, not even with everyone that wants to pay.  I believe we have to both be clear that our working together is a good fit.  Our personalities need to connect, and my skills and your project, or your business, or yours goals in life, have to be a good match.

So, I can’t work with everyone…there aren’t enough hours in the day.  However, while I’m still in a position to be able to do it, I will gladly provide anyone with a true desire to improve their current situation with complimentary coaching session.

So, like the man who wrote me the email and was skeptical about my intentions, are you willing to walk away from a $250 gift? It is just that:  a gift to you, with no strings attached and no pressure.

If you do find that this interesting and intriguing, what have you got to lose?  Really, what’s the worst-case scenario?  Less than an hour of your time and at the end, perhaps we don’t mesh?  Hardly a risk, don’t you agree?

The bottom line for me is that my greatest passion is to help people find the best parts of themselves and bring that out into the world.  I love helping people discover new business ideas and potential income streams.  I love finding new ways to MasterMind with people to overcome challenges and have more time, money and freedom in their lives.  That’s my passion!

By the way, the skeptical man I referred to earlier has now come back to me with an interest in pursuing a session. Isn’t that interesting?  Sometimes it’s all about someone’s slightly skewed perception.  All it took was just sharing my true motivation.

If I can be of service, let me know.  You can click here to sign up for your complimentary Discovery Session.  Just fill out the form, then the questionnaire that follows and I’ll know you’re ready to get scheduled.  What have you got to lose?  It’s FREE!  <grin>

I wish the best in all you choose to pursue.

What’s all the quiet about?

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

Now it’s been about a week since I posted…and now I’m starting to get emails asking if I fell off the planet…

Truly ironic considering how I’m always telling people that you really need to blog a MINIMUM of a couple of times a week, 3-4 days is better and you should REALLY post every day to capitalize on all the benefits of blogging around your business and your passion (which hopefully are more or less the same thing!).

Here’s the truth…I have no excuses…never really make them actually, because I believe in 100% personal responsibility. The REASON I’ve been a little scarce over the past few days is simple: FOCUS.

Yes, I coach people how to automate and delegate to take the time management issues out of their lives. Yes, I mentor people to pass off ANYTHING that isn’t right in the bullseye of your skillset. And YES, I teach people how to avoid getting consumed the "tasks" of their businesses and focus on the expansion. And there’s more…but you get the idea….

So, in this case…the FOCUS for me in the past week has been to do the VERY BEST work that I can do with two new products I’m releasing in the next few days.

I’m involved in every aspect. Preparing the content, recording my own content for the program (recording in my skillset, my presence absolutely required), composing new MasterMind Enhancement Music (BULLSEYE smack in the middle of my skillset, my true passion), interviewing the experts for the program (wouldn’t happen with me in this case, design work for the covers and CD labels (OK, honestly, in my skillset but maybe I should have passed that one along…it was a timing thing…need the product manufactured by my speaking appearance at Speak Your Way to Wealth next weekend)…

What this all boils down to is that I really needed to be immersed in this project, so it can be the best it can be, not for me (although I get great satisfaction from this) but FOR YOU.

I’m going to announce the new products in a few days…two new products (perhaps the last two) in the "Attraction" line called Attraction Mastery and Attraction Marketing, but that’s all I’m telling right now. And wait until you see what happens next…

For now, that’s all I can give up…I realy want to tell you but both time and timing dictate that I have to wait.

I look forward to sharing more. Thanks for your personal notes of concern about my apparent disappearance…no worries, I’m here and I’m fine…in fact, I’m better than ever!

I’ll post again soon…

Peace,

Jeff

P.S. — If you don’t know about the MasterMind Enhancement Music process yet…get a taste on this video I created for the Law of Attraction ACTION PACK…it’s up on YouTube…but here it is below….

Miracles of the mind…savant artist with photographic memory…

Friday, August 1st, 2008

In my coaching practice, I often work with people who are overcoming blocks to their own success.  Time and time again, we overcome obstacles based entirely in the mind and emotions.  I have no doubt that virtually everything impeding our progress and success is self-created or installed beliefs from events that have taken place in our lives.

The power of the mind is amazing.  Our ability to overcome challengs is unlimited.  The human brain is a super-computer that has virtually infinite capacity.

The next time you start believing that you are limited by your circumstances, your current conditions or even your thoughts, I would invite you to witness Stephen Wiltshire, an amazingly beautiful mind, who is also an autistic savant.  Witness a miracle of the human mind.

Please comment and pass this along….

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) – Try it on everything…

Monday, July 21st, 2008

How do we overcome whatever may be blocking us from receiving? “Receiving what, Jeff?” you may be asking. Anything! One thing I’ve found in working with coaching clients is that whatever they are choosing in their lives that they don’t already have is usually being slowed down by some kind of fear, block or resistance and it’s almost always on a subconscious level.

We came into this life with only two fears:

1. The fear of loud noises; and

2. The fear of falling.

Everything else we adopted along the way. Fear of public speaking; fear of failure; fear of rejection; fear of heights…literally everything else blocking us was learned by some experience or series of experiences. Well, if your mind can learn something like that through simply having one or more traumatic experiences around it, why can’t we also “unlearn” or quickly release that issue? We can, of course.

There are a number of very effective methods for releasing fear, or overcoming obstacles keeping us from anything we want to do, be or have. One of the techniques I like best is called Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT.

I use EFT in my coaching practice all the time and have clients creating personal breakthroughs at an astounding rate. It’s a simple practice and takes only a few minutes to get the basics down.

Recently, I connected with Nick Ortner, the producer of a new documentary film about EFT called Try It On Everything

Nick has made a fabulous film that not only trains you in the use of EFT but also provides excellent documentation on how the process can be used on virtually everything, thus the title of the film. I have found the same thing to be true in my work with coaching clients. We’ve used the process for overcoming fear of public speaking (along with some specialty sound and music processes I created), for extreme anxiety, weight loss, mental blocks toward success, procrastination, back pain, migraine headaches…and the list really goes on and on.

Try it on everything is the motto of EFT. What have you got to lose? I’d love to hear your stories about EFT, successes, failures, breakthoughs…do share by commenting below.

Also, take a look at Nick’s movie trailer below for Try It On Everything and then follow the link to check out more information and for a bunch of free resources. And once you learn EFT…try it on everything!

Just what IS the Law of Attraction?

Monday, July 14th, 2008

What is the Law of Attraction?  That’s really the question that drops Alice into the rabbit hole, isn’t it?  What is that unseen, unknown force out there guiding your path…and more importantly, how can you consciously work with it to create your desired outcomes in life?

The origin of what we now call the Law of Attraction in modern writings started with the “New Thought Movement” that has its genesis in the early 1800’s but began really taking hold in the late 1800’s.  Although no one can seem to pin it down exactly, it is believed that the first use of the actual phrase “law of attraction” was by one of the early pioneers of New Thought named William Walker Atkinson in his 1906 book called “Thought Vibration or the Law of Attraction in the New Thought World.”

The explosion of the New Thought movement in the early 1900’s produced a significant body of work on the general subject that we now call the Law of Attraction, including the works by Charles F. Haanel (The Master Key System), James Allen (As A Man Thinketh) and one of my favorites, Wallace D. Wattles (The Science of Getting Rich).

Of course, the true origin of the Law of Attraction goes back far beyond the New Thought Movement.  Virtually every significant spiritual text in history makes references to our innate ability to create our reality using our thoughts and actions, typically within the context of our connection to a higher energy or spirit.  The Bible (Christianity), the Koran (Islam), the Bhagivad Gita (Hinduism), the Sutras (Buddhism) and other spiritual teachings such as the Emerald Tablets of Hermes all discuss on some level our ability to “attract” things into our lives.  Moreover, in many cases this power is referred to not merely as our ability, but as our responsibility.

It is not my intention here to go into a detailed history or technical treatise on the Law of Attraction.  However, it is important to create a foundation that will help you to understand that what we are discussing here is not some new age mumbo jumbo.  Regardless of your current religious or spiritual belief system, you can find specific references and connections to the Law of Attraction.  This concept is not something new.  But its recent worldwide acceptance is something of a phenomenon.

Subscribe to my blog to keep up-to-date on the latest, cutting-edge information and techniques about the Law of Attraction.  You can also look at my coaching programs and products to really put this powerful law into action in your life.

There will be a lot more coming in my new book Seven Days to Success:  Mastering  the Magic in the Law of Attraction.

The Power of Focus

Thursday, July 10th, 2008

Let’s face it…everybody is busy these days. Sometimes is just seems like there aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done.

Between our seemingly never-ending “to-do” lists, families with two working parents, or single parents working hard, kids’ soccer practice, the internet, and everything else that goes on in our world, we hardly have time to breathe, right? Wrong!

Typically, the problem isn’t actually a matter of available time but instead it is the prioritization of time. There are some simple techniques and tools that you can use to stay focused and get a lot more done in your day.

At this point in human evolution, it is important to accept that we live in a fast-paced, results-driven society and that multi-tasking and time management is not an option anymore, it’s a necessity…in fact, when you do it right, it’s an art!

Here is my list of Top Seven Power Tips To Stay Focused. This will help you get everything done in your multifaceted life:

  1. Prioritize your tasks and be disciplined about staying on your priorities – This may seem obvious but very few people actually do it. Here’s a simple way to prioritize your day. Make a list of the things that you know you have to do. Then, go through the list and rate the priority of each task from 1 to 5, with 1 being the highest priority. Be honest with yourself about that…everything can’t be a number one priority…what REALLY needs to happen NEXT? Once you have prioritized your list from 1 to 5, make a list of all your number 1’s. Then prioritize that list in order of highest priority from 1 up to the number of tasks on that list.

The next part is what requires discipline: Start with Number 1…and don’t do ANYTHING else until Number 1 is complete, or if that task requires a longer term focus, work on it until there is nothing else you can do to move that task forward. Then, just continue down the list in the same way until you complete everything. You’ll be amazed at how much time you save by staying on task. Don’t allow yourself to get distracted with phone calls, email, Internet surfing or some other task unless it’s an emergency (Hint: there are very few “emergencies” that qualify).

  1. Prepare for your next day in the evening before – If you make and prioritize your list the night before, you save lots of time and can jump right into your day the next morning. Plus, you won’t like awake in bed thinking about all those things you think you have to do tomorrow.

  1. Drink lots of water throughout the day – Staying hydrated is vital to your mental focus. Stay away from lots of coffee and sodas (I know there are bunch of you who don’t want to hear that) because they tend to dehydrate you and the caffeine, while a quick “pick me up” creates other focus issues later.

  1. Use a SYSTEM for time and priority management system — There are lots of excellent systems that will help you stay on track. For scheduling, I like to use Outlook and keep it synced up to my Treo phone. That way my assistants can have access to my schedule and it syncs up wirelessly when I’m on the road, so we’re all on the same page, no matter who is doing the scheduling.

Definitely DO NOT allow technology to slow you down, though. These days, many people have a tendency to spend more time with their slick new devices than they would spend making a simple handwritten list. Also, don’t let the lack of technology be an excuse not to manage your priorities.

In my opinion, the very best system available for really taking control of your time and your day is called Simpleology, developed by one of today’s most brilliant minds, Mark Joyner. The basic program is f-r-e-e and you can set it up in minutes. You can get your complimentary system at:

http://www.simpleology.com/p/s101/mastermindmentor/

  1. Batch tasks together – If you have similarly repetitive tasks or errands to run, take a few minutes before you start to see how certain tasks can fit together. You can literally create extra HOURS in your week by doing this one process alone. For example, plan your errand route for the highest level of efficiency. You can start one project that can run on it’s own and then do another while you’re waiting…example: Instead of sitting there watching your email download in the morning, hit “Send/Receive” and then go make your breakfast while it downloads. You get the idea. It’s really incredible how much time you create when you have two or three menial things going at once, when they don’t require your constant attention.

  1. Delegate everything you possibly can – I know, especially with us entrepreneurs, that we have a tendency to want to do everything, be everything to everybody and we suffer the consequences. Every time you find yourself cleaning your own house, doing your own filing, making tedious, non-essential (to you) phone calls, ask yourself these questions: “Is this the highest and best use of my time?” “Could someone else do this for me?”

Virtual assistants are great at taking the load off of you and helping you stay focused on revenue-generating activities or higher priorities. You may at first question whether you can “afford” the extra help but once you have that help in your life, you will be asking yourself why you didn’t do it sooner. Your goal should be this: Anything that isn’t your true passion is something you should delegate.

  1. Reward yourself for a job well done! This is SO important and yet so overlooked. We work, we work, we work, we accomplish great things and achieve our goals and then…? And then, we work, work, work, accomplish great things, achieve our goals and…you get the picture? Get in the habit of rewarding yourself and celebrating even your minor achievements. Take yourself out for a frozen yogurt or take a few minutes to do something nice for yourself. It doesn’t have to be big or costly (but it can be if you want it to), just something that acknowledges yourself for a job well done. In fact, I suggest you celebrate as soon as you make the list in step one of this process.

There are lots of other things you can do to create more minutes in your day, hours in your week and days, or even weeks, in each year. It’s just a matter of focus!

I am happy to help you stay on track with that process through a structure coaching program. Learn more at: www.MasterMindMentor.com/coaching.html

Why is personal development important?

Tuesday, July 1st, 2008

Over the past five weeks, I’ve attended four major personal development events. Why? Because I believe that immersing myself in new concepts and staying on top of my own personal development is vital to my overall success. In fact, it has been a cornerstone to the success I have already created and will continue to be an integral part of what I create in the future.

As a member of CEO Space, an organization that provides an MBA-level education, coupled with a “networking on steriods” environment, I have the opportunity to spend up to a week, five times a year learning more about raising capital, motivating a team, business legal compliance, and generally staying inspired. It’s very grounded, yet has a community component and atmosphere that is very connected.

Every time I attend the event, I meet new contacts, get involved in new projects and have a great time. I attended for the weekend in May and will spend the entire week there in July. We’ll be raising capital for the expansion of MasterMindMentor.com and the huge projects and events we intend to create starting with the launch of my new book, Seven Days to Success: Mastering the Magic in the Law of Attraction.

About a week after CEO Space, we attended T. Harv Eker’s Millionaire Mind Intensive three-day event. Wow! What an experience that was. I could not believe how much content was in this program and that it was all provided for FREE! I strongly suggest to anyone…GO TO THIS EVENT. It can literally shift your entire mindset about what you can accomplish in life, personally, financially, physically, the whole nine yards.

Two weeks later, I found myself in Los Angeles attending the launch event for Humanity Unites Brilliance, or HUB. It is truly amazing what is happening on this planet right now in terms of the increased awareness to global issues and the overall raising of consciousness. Again, I was filled with energy and amazing education throughout an entire weekend.

And finally, the cap of this personal development journey was the Harmonic Wealth Weekend with James Ray, who has launched into superstardom since his appearance in the viral smash-hit success film, The Secret.

After this experiment in immersion, in only a few weeks, I have developed new business, overcome obstacles that were holding me back and generally feel like the world is at my doorstep waiting to get in.

Education and personal development are vital to success. The more I learn, the more I realize I still need to learn and the more I can acknowledge that this is the whole reason we’re here in the first place. To listen, to watch, to learn and to teach. I strongly encourage you to step up and take in as much information as you can. And wherever possible, take your spouse, a loved one or business partner with you because when you grow together, you have more of an opportunity to expand your relationships, business and personal.

We are on Planet Earth at a most momentous time in history. You know it too. It’s calling you or you wouldn’t be here. So, what’s the next step for you? What is your mission; your part in this great unfoldment?

Let me hear from you…perhaps we can support each other along the way.
